Want Not Waste Personal Care Round-up!

 

Our sustainability theme for this month is Beauty and Personal Care, so this is Ciara, here to give you a round-up of all the cool products you can get in our shop to make your bathroom as eco as possible!

Grüum Shampoo and Conditioner Bars

First up, we have grüum shampoo and conditioner bars! Grüum are a Manchester-based company, who aim to make their skin- and hair-care products environmentally friendly, gender-neutral and affordable for all. At Want Not Waste, you can find four different scents of shampoo bar (coconut, cocoa butter, lemon and almond, and new colour protect henna and juniper) alongside the ordinary and colour protect conditioner bars.

Ben and Anna Toothpaste and Mouthwash

Ben and Anna are a family-run business, specialising in personal and oral care. At Want Not Waste, you can grab their jars of toothpaste, which have 100% natural ingredients. We also stock their glass bottles of natural mouthwash, so you can get all the oral care accessories to go with your bamboo toothbrush (which are conveniently also available at WNW!..)

Honour Your Flow Pads, Cups and Masks

We have a post on sustainable menstrual products coming just next week, so once you’ve read that, be sure to pop into the shop and stock up on our Honour Your Flow products! We stock washable pads in four different sizes - regular, mini, maxi and night - and they come in super cool tie-dye colours. Or, if a menstrual cup is more your vibe, you can grab one of those on your next visit to Want Not Waste!

We also now stock a variety of face masks, with a couple of different strap formations for your comfort. They come in the same awesome tie-dye colours as the pads!

Cacao Pow Deodorant Bar

Our Cacao Pow ‘bar in a jar’ is a must-try if you’re looking to get into natural deodorant! These gender-neutral cacao butter bars are vegan, cruelty-free, and coconut and palm oil free, so they’re soft and suitable for every skin type. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better - if you bring your empty Cacao Pow bar jar back to the shop, we can send it back to the company for re-use!

Holly’s Crafts Cotton Rounds

Changing to reusable cotton rounds is one of the easiest swaps you can make to make your morning routine more sustainable. And luckily for you, we have the perfect ones at Want Not Waste! Volunteer Holly’s mum crochets us our lovely, colourful cotton rounds, which you can buy individually or in little sets of three - see the cover photo for a closer look at these fab cotton pads!

Bubble Cosmetics Soap Bars

And finally, the newest addition to the range of products at Want Not Waste - Bubble Cosmetics’ soap bars! These beautiful handmade vegan soaps come in both lavender and rhubarb and custard scents, which smell amazing. And at £3.50 you can’t go wrong - make sure you grab one next time you pop by the shop!
